Book Review

It was a big reading weekend - the latest Harry Potter book came out on Friday at midnight! This year, I did not stand in line at midnight, but I did reserve a book and pick it up early on Saturday, then spent the rest of the weekend reading through the book. At one point, I thought I'd save it for my travel this week, but then decided I just needed to plunge ahead. I remember reading the first Harry Potter book -- my brother had gotten it from a friend in England, before it had been issued here. I thought it was great, and so did my kids. I've been a fan since, even as my tuglets have fallen away a bit, so I think was the most excited person in the house! My take: it's a good book, and a must read for followers of the story. The story is becoming more dark and adult, which fits because the protagonist is growing up. I remember when they issued the second book in the US they took out a bunch of the local UK words because they didn't want to confuse us poor Americans. This time they left them in. Snog, that is a word you don't see in print much here. :) It was nice to read something light.
