I'm on vacation, more or less. AND I had no power over the weekend, so sort of missed the lamest person of the year in recent history -- yes, You. You can read some of the reasoning here, but why bother. I was watching The Daily Show tonight, and Jon Stewart totally nailed it -- mocking the CNN interview announcing the so-called news, and correctly noting that this represented the total nadir of the mainstream media.
Not to put too fine a point on things, but when Time Magazine notices something, the hype has pretty much peaked. Here's to 2007 -- when the accomplishments of the bloggers and community sites can stand on their own, unencumbered by unrealistic expectations.
