Fake Real Estate

I just don't know what to say about this. Yes, the idea of a virtual world is super interesting and very important. This particular virtual world, hmm, not sure. Hype around second life, fueled by companies eager to appear hip, has the potential to crush the idea before it gets traction. Every time someone reads about this and thinks it's mainstream, logs on and sees what is there (and let me tell you, nothing against realtors, but having the ability to work with a realtor in second life is really not much of a draw), another person leaves, not to come back.

For a far better look at a virtual world, teeming with life and PEOPLE, check out this Fortune article. It is a much better proof of concept and experience.

I think that something like the 'SIMS' real estate might be quite fun to play. Like a role play version of real life; setting up a company, finding stock, doing viewings, making money etc. Good for children to learn about running a real estate business.

A SIMS estate agent game would of course need to include Gazumping.

I haven't really looked into the virtual workd on the website, but I have read about it and I think to myself, why not just live in the real world!! It must be better right?

I think people should wake up and smell the REAL roses, because virtual roses don't have any scent !!
