That's my goal for the week ahead. Last week got away from me -- I had a few pretty significant work events, and to top it all off, well, the final Harry Potter book needed to be read. Two years ago, I blogged about reading the next to last book in the series; I managed to read that the weekend it came out. This time, no such luck. :) I loved the book. It was a great read, it was rich with details, packed with action, had the right amount of plot twists and wrapped up much of the mystery in the end. It was really frustrating that I had to read it in small chunks -- it really deserves to be read sitting in a comfortable chair for a weekend, and not while stirring pasta sauce or in between other activities, where I ended up reading it.
The challenge for me is that there is a ton of other great stuff out there as well. The new issue of Wired has some good stories in there. Just read the design award winner issue of BizWeek (yes, I'm behind). It was good. Great story in the NYT Magazine today about robotics. Fortune writes about the survival of the Washington Post. Everyone is blogging about Facebook. The fate of the WSJ is up in the air. I haven't finished reading The Black Swan yet, and still have a few other books on my self.
We can all complain about quality and ideas and spam and blog overload, but nobody better tell me we're not living in a hugely rich content world, and loving it more days than not!
